Why do we Palestinians drop the Q? ????It’s not random, it’s a mix of sound, geography, and identity.

Take qalb → alb, Qahwe → Ahwe, and even Al-Quds → ’Uds , one consonant tells a story of where you grew up and who raised you.

???? My grandma kept her Q all the way from Iqrith, a village that no longer exists. But her Q survived… just like the memory of her home.
