Since very little is known about our Saudi Culture from around the world, through easy cooking, it would be the perfect recipe. I am a Saudi female lady amateur chef that cooks authentic quick Middle Eastern dishes. The authentic Arabic Food with Arabic ingredients in our everyday lives. Some of our dishes are fused with other Arab & Non-Arab countries. The end result you will learn the techniques in order to make tasty, fun and easy dishes for anyone to make. MANTO RECIPE:
Ingredients:
800 GRAMSN MINCED MEAT
2 TSP SALT
2 BIG FINELY CHOPED ONIONS
1 TSP BLACK PEPPER
GHEE OIL
Side Dip – Mix all together
¾ WHITE VINEGAR
1 TSP GARLIC
½ TSP BLACK PEPPER
5 TBSP WATER
CUMIN POWER FOR GARNISH
Steps"
1) In bowl, add flour, 1 tsp salt and add ¾ water to flour, mix till firm.
2) In separate bowl, add minced meat, onions, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper.
3) Flatten lemon size dough, add 1 tbsp of meat mixture. Fold ends and stick the sides.
4) Coat steam pot with ghee oil, and cook manto for 45 minutes.
5) Serve with cumin powder sprinkled on top with vinegar side dip.
