One of my favorite Arabic expressions is:
‎على راسي
It literally means:
on my head
But what it really means is:
of course, I’ll do itanything for you

It’s a “yes”… but warmer.
The kind of yes that comes with respect.
The first time my students hear it, they laughbecause they picture someone physically putting things on their head ????

But once you get it, you start hearing it everywhere.

Arabic doesn’t just answer.It adds feeling to the answer.
