"This is a poem that was written in the 60's by Mansour Rahbani and appeared in his collection of poetry "Ana al-gharib al-akhar". Mohammad Abdul-Wahab wanted to put it to music for Oum Kalthoumbut this request was denied because they wanted to change one word in the poem. The powerfully emotional composition on this track is reminiscent of the great movie soundtracks. Hiba's performance relies on an inner monologue with dynamics that come so naturally to her. The song is also a salute to the great Rahbani brothers/Fairuz tradition".
