Muslims who fled the battle against Islamist militants in the southern Philippines last year are spending another month of Ramadan in evacuation camps.
At least 350,000 people were evacuated in the city of Marawi in 2017 after hundreds of insurgents under the Islamic State-linked Maute Group seized parts of city at the start of last year's Ramadan.
More than a year on, but with the city free from militants since October, residents like Jun Uttoh Banisil Jr. are forced to celebrate the Islam's holy month in cramped tent cities anew as the government scrambles to set reconstruction plans to motion.
Banisil Jr., who lives in an evacuation camp called "Community of Hope," prays for two things everyday in Ramadan: to get his seven children back to school and to find his missing uncle.
