2018 Kia Stinger Review and First Drive | Kia Stinger GT Review

We’re here with one of the most highly anticipated cars of the year, the Kia Stinger. This is the Korean automaker’s all-new sporty grand touring sedan, and If you needed any more proof that Kia isn’t the cheapo carmaker it once was and weren’t convinced by all the awards it as already won, this Stinger is it. This car should change everything you thought you knew about Kia.

There is obviously a lot of hype around this car, and I was really skeptical because automakers are always throwing around buzzwords like passion and adrenaline, but the cars often end up being lazy and kind of uninspired and boring. But I think the Stinger actually lives up to the hype, not because it’s the best performance car out there, but once you drive it, it becomes really obvious that Kia poured everything they have into this car. It is really impressive and it delivers on its promise to surprise you.

So here are the basics of this car: In the U.S., you can get rear or all-wheel drive with either a 2-liter turbo four-cylinder or 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 in GT models and the GT designation is reserved for six-cylinder models. So four-cylinder models: Stinger. V6 models: Stinger GT.
